Healthcare staffing in Halton Region
RNs, RPNs and PSWs for long-term care homes, retirement residences and community programs across Halton — Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
Where we cover around Halton Region
Four municipalities that sit close together on the map and behave quite differently in a roster.
- Oakville — Bronte, Kerr Village, Glen Abbey, River Oaks and the older lakeshore streets.
- Burlington — Aldershot, Roseland, Alton Village and the Plains Road corridor.
- Milton — Old Milton, Hawthorne Village, Beaty and Scott.
- Halton Hills — Georgetown and Acton.
- The rural north — Campbellville and the Escarpment communities, with notice.
Coverage in any given neighbourhood depends on who we hold near it, not on a map. Ask us about your site specifically and you will get a straight answer.
What staffing in Halton Region actually looks like
Burlington sits on the Hamilton edge and shares its labour pool, which makes it one of the easier parts of Halton to cover. Oakville draws from the Mississauga side. The two ends of the region are effectively served by different people.
Milton is the one that catches suppliers out. It has grown faster than almost anywhere in Ontario and the road network has not caught up, so a worker coming from the east at 06:45 is not making the same journey they would at 10:00. We schedule Milton starts with that in mind.
Halton Hills — Georgetown and Acton — is a separate proposition again, and closer to Guelph than to Oakville for the people who actually live there.

How we work with facilities
Settings we staff, who is responsible for what, credentialing and privacy.
Verified before the first shift, not after it
Every worker we place has been through the same file before they are offered to you.
- Government photo identification and proof of eligibility to work in Canada.
- Current registration and standing confirmed directly on the College of Nurses of Ontario register, where the role is regulated — not from a document the candidate hands us.
- Police vulnerable sector check completed and reviewed.
- References spoken to, from previous supervisors.
- Immunization and health records on file and kept current for the settings we place into.
- AODA, WHMIS, worker health and safety awareness and workplace violence and harassment training, plus orientation to your site.
Questions from Halton Region coordinators
Is Halton one market or four?
Four, for scheduling. Burlington leans to Hamilton, Oakville to Mississauga, Milton is its own commute problem and Halton Hills looks toward Guelph. We staff by the site, not the region.
Can you cover early starts in Milton?
Yes, but tell us the start time when you send the shift. A 07:00 start and a 09:00 start in Milton are two very different asks.
Are the workers employed by you?
Yes. Payroll, source deductions, WSIB coverage and Employment Standards Act entitlements sit with Help Now Healthcare, not with your organization.
What happens if someone does not show?
One number, answered 24/7. A coordinator re-fills it, and if we cannot, you hear that from us immediately rather than at handover.
Do you also provide home care in Halton Region?
Yes, that is our other side of the business — personal support, nursing visits, respite and overnight care in private homes. Home care in Halton Region
