RN
Registered Nurses at Help now Healthcare provide services in private and facility settings such as Hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes, and Clinics. RN’s are responsible, but not limited to, providing direct nursing care & administering treatments to patients; collaborating with allied and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with clients and families/SDM.
Minimum Requirements for Registered Nurses
- Holder of current Certificate of Competence for Registered Nurse from the CNO
- Recipient of CPR certificate for Health Care Provider (HCP)
- Has effective verbal and written skills in the English language
- Has Canadian criminal record clearance (Vulnerable Sector Screening)
- Has medical clearance
- Committed to pursue continuing education opportunities
Critical/Intensive Care Units (in addition to the above qualifications)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certificate holder
- Completed Critical Care course/s
- Minimum solid year of clinical experience in an area of specialty
Emergency Departments (in addition to the above qualifications)
- No less than 1 year (or equivalent hours) medical/surgical nursing experience
- Completed a minimum one year experience in emergency department or critical and intensive care units
- Holder of ACLS and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support Certificate
Maternal and Child Units (in addition to the above qualifications)
- Minimum 1 year (or equivalent hours) of pediatric and/or obstetric nursing experience, and/or has taken courses related to maternal and child care
Mental Health Unit (in addition to the above qualifications)
- No less than 1 year (or equivalent hours) of mental health nursing experience and/or has taken courses related to mental health
RPN
Registered Practical Nurses at Help Now Healthcare provide services in private and facility settings such as Hospitals, Long-Term Care Homes, Retirement Homes, Clinics. RPN’s responsibilities include but are not limited to providing direct nursing care and administering treatments to patients; collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate client care in consultation with client and family/SDM.
Minimum Requirements for Registered Practical Nurses
- Holder of current Certificate of Competence for Registered Practical Nurse from the CNO
- Recipient of CPR certificate for Health Care Provider (HCP)

PSW
Personal Support Workers at Help Now Healthcare provide services in private and facility settings such as Hospitals, Long-term care homes and Retirement facilities.
- Providing assistance in personal care and support in all aspects of personal hygiene, medication, mobility and communication; assist in meal preparation, feeding, light housekeeping; provide social & meaningful companionship, observation, safety and conservation; and report changes in patient’s behavior to designated manager.
Minimum Requirements for Personal Support Workers
- Holder of Certificate for PSW certified by the National Association of Career College (NACC) or National Association of Certified Personal Support Worker
- Has minimum solid year clinical experience related to job description
- Has Canadian criminal record clearance (Vulnerable Sector Screening)
- Has medical clearance
- Has taken CPR training for Health Care Provider (HCP)
