Social Worker jobs
Registered Social Worker and Registered Social Service Worker roles across hospitals, long-term care, hospice, community mental health and family services.

Where social workers work with us
- Hospitals — discharge planning, family conferences, and the difficult conversations that decide whether a discharge holds.
- Long-term care and retirement — admissions support, resident and family adjustment, behaviour and capacity issues, substitute decision-maker questions.
- Hospice and palliative programs — anticipatory grief, family support and bereavement follow-up.
- Community mental health and addictions — assessment, counselling and system navigation.
- Family and children’s services — support for families managing a child’s complex needs.
- Home and community care — helping a family hold a plan together when the person is at home.
What we need from you
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers — RSW or RSSW. Both titles are protected.
- Effective spoken and written English.
- Canadian criminal record clearance, including vulnerable sector screening.
- Medical clearance.
- Experience in the population you want to work with — tell us which one.
Tell us the population, not just the title
“Social worker” covers work that has very little in common from one setting to the next.
Discharge planning on a busy medicine unit, bereavement support in a hospice, and capacity and substitute decision-maker questions in long-term care are three different jobs. Placing someone by title alone is how a good social worker ends up in a role that does not suit them.
So we ask about the population, the caseload and what you actually want to be doing at 3pm on a Tuesday — and we will tell you when we do not have it.
What you are entitled to, and what we are required to tell you
Worth knowing before you apply anywhere, not only here.
- You never pay us a fee. Our fees are paid by the employer or the client. If any agency asks you for money to be placed, walk away.
- Postings must state expected pay. Since 1 January 2026, publicly advertised job postings in Ontario must include the expected compensation or a range, must say whether the posting is for an existing vacancy, and must disclose if artificial intelligence is used to screen applicants.
Questions social workers ask us
Do you place RSSWs as well as RSWs?
Yes. Different roles call for each, and we will not put you forward for something your registration does not cover.
Is this contract work or permanent?
Both. Leave coverage and vacancy cover are the most common; permanent searches come up regularly too.
Will I have clinical supervision?
That depends on the site, and it is a fair question to ask before you accept. We will find out and tell you rather than guess.
Do you place in hospitals?
Where an agency arrangement is in place, yes.
Can I specify the population I will and will not work with?
Yes, and please do. It makes the match better for everyone.
