Where RNs work with us

• Long-term care and retirement — charge shifts, medication administration, assessments, admissions and readmissions.
• Hospitals — medicine, surgery, complex continuing care and rehabilitation, where an agency arrangement is in place.
• Community and home care — visit nursing, IV therapy, wound care and oversight of a private care plan.
• Clinics and infusion suites — treatment rooms, specialty clinics, scheduled and vacation coverage.
• Occupational health and campaigns — workplace clinics, immunization and screening programs, event medical coverage.
• Specialty units — critical care, emergency, maternal and child, and mental health, where you meet the additional requirements below.

What we need from you

• A current Certificate of Competence as an RN with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• CPR for Health Care Provider (HCP).
• Effective spoken and written English.
• Canadian criminal record clearance, including vulnerable sector screening.
• Medical clearance.
• A commitment to continuing education.

Specialty units ask for more. Critical and intensive care: ACLS, a completed critical care course, and at least a year in the specialty. Emergency: at least a year of medical/surgical nursing, at least a year in emergency or critical care, and ACLS and/or ATLS. Maternal and child: at least a year of paediatric and/or obstetric nursing, or relevant coursework. Mental health: at least a year of mental health nursing, or relevant coursework.

Agency work, honestly

Agency nursing is not for everyone, and we would rather you know that before you apply than after your third shift.

It suits you if you want to choose your own schedule, you are comfortable walking into an unfamiliar unit and orienting quickly, and you want breadth — several settings, several populations, in a year.

It does not suit you if you want the same colleagues every day, a predictable guaranteed number of hours regardless of demand, or a single unit you can go deep in. Those are real things, and a permanent role gives them to you. We recruit for those too, and we will tell you when that is the better fit. Permanent roles

Either way, you are our employee: WSIB coverage, payroll deductions, EI and CPP contributions, paid in-services, professional liability cover after qualification, and site-specific orientation before your first shift.

What you are entitled to, and what we are required to tell you

Worth knowing before you apply anywhere, not only here.

• You are an employee, not a contractor. Payroll deductions, WSIB coverage, EI and CPP contributions, and Employment Standards Act entitlements including vacation and public holiday pay.
• You never pay us a fee. Our fees are paid by the employer or the client. If any agency asks you for money to be placed, walk away.
• Postings must state expected pay. Since 1 January 2026, publicly advertised job postings in Ontario must include the expected compensation or a range, must say whether the posting is for an existing vacancy, and must disclose if artificial intelligence is used to screen applicants.
• Canadian experience cannot be required. Ontario prohibits Canadian experience requirements in publicly advertised job postings and their application forms.
• You get an answer after an interview. Employers must tell interviewed applicants whether a hiring decision was made, within 45 days of the last interview.
